The Fossil Dungeon a décidé de nous faire (re)découvrir les compositions d’Equitant sous la forme d’un album de remix de différents titres de ce projet de dark ambiant qui avait commencé sa carrière avec une cassette qui était sortie chez ‘Seventh Key Creations’ devenu aujourd’hui The Fossil Dungeon. De nombreux artistes ont participé à la réalisation de cet album : LEGGO, LETHARGY, EQUITANT (himself), DR. SIAK, MAHURA, BUBBLEDOOR, DJ SLINKY, DJ PISCES, DJ JAKUB, DR. WUNDT, RUBEN MONTESCO, and RAUL PARRA.

Avec Re-Konstruction vous allez vous retrouver dans un monde electro minimaliste. Il est très intéressant de découvrir tous ces titres revisités, car à partir d’un même titre, on se retrouve avec des remix aux sonorités très différentes, il n’y a qu’à écouter les différentes versions d’Elemente pour immédiatement s’en rendre compte. Mais toutes ont leur côté froid et simple et si certaines mélodies reviennent, c’est parfois de façon cachée, comme l’a fait DR Siak, qui masque le thème principal. Ruben Montesco a de son côté gardé la voix en y ajoutant un beat appuyé. Et que dire du titre Last Night In My Body qui est relativement sombre entre les doigts de Pisces Phenotype, alors qu’il devient est très lounge avec DJ Jakub.

Re-Konstruction plaira aux amateurs d’electro dansante et simple. Et vous poussera certainement à aller découvrir les morceaux originaux d’Equitant.

The Fossil Dungeon decided to make us discover (again) Equitant’s creations thanks to a remix cd of a few titles of this dark ambient project which begun its career with a tape released by ‘Seventh Key Creations’ (today, ‘the fossil dungeon’). Numerous artists took part in the making of this album: LEGGO, LETHARGY, EQUITANT (himself), DR. SIAK, MAHURA, BUBBLEDOOR, DJ SLINKY, DJ PISCES, DJ JAKUB, DR. WUNDT, RUBEN MONTESCO, and RAUL PARRA.

With Re-konstruction you are going to be in a minimalist electro world. It is interesting to discover all these reinterpreted titles. Because, from a same title, we get remixes with very different sounds. You just have to listen to the numerous versions of “Elemente” to become aware of this. However each creation has its cold and simple part. And if some tunes are appearing again and again, it’s sometimes in a hidden way, like DR Siak did by hiding the main theme. Ruben Montesco, as for himself, kept the voice while adding an accentuated beat. And what about the title “Last Night In My Body”, relatively dark under Pisces Phenotype’s fingers and very lounge with DJ Jakub?

Lovers of simple and dancing electro are going to appreciate Re-konstruction. But the cd will also urge you to discover Equitant’s original titles.
